Aeolian hotel (now Aeolian Gaea) is a wonderful hotel situated right on the nice and sandy beach. The hotel is well known over the world as being the greatest hotel for lesbians. It is located on the beautiful Lesvos Island.

Eressos is one of the most well-known small country towns for its history and natural beauties. It's found at a distance of 87 km away from Mytilene, at the western part of Lesvos Island. Its roots are lost in the years of the antiquity.

It is situated in a natural environment that combines plain, mountains and sea, ideal for every kind of holidays.

In Eressos, birthplace of the lyric poet Sappho and home of the philosopher and botanist Theophrastos lays the Aeolian Village. This unique holiday complex is built in a typical Aegean village style.

The hotel offers a variety of accomodation possibilities-bedrooms in the main building or garden bungalows. There are 84 rooms and one suite in the main building and 42 bungalows and maisonettes in the gardens. Each room has a view of the sea and the mountains which surround the fertile valley of Eressos.

Guests may relax around the outdoor fresh water pool which adjoins the children's pool, enjoy the sun is the peaceful gardens or swim in the clear Aegean sea right in front of the hotel. The snorkling in the area is excellent as is windsurfing. The Zephyros Taverna beside the pool serves local specialities and international cuisine. Special theme evenings such as a fish festival, barbecue and Greek buffet are organized regularly. The Pool Restaurant with its informal atmosphere is open daily for lunch. The Avra Pool Bar offers drinks, snacks and ice-creams throughout the day.

The spacious bedrooms, suites and bungalows are tastefully decorated and have private bathrooms, balcony/terrace, direct dial telephone, satelite TV, hairdryer, refrigerator, safe deposit box, air-conditioning, and heating.

The bungalows are set up to be comfortable for entertaining with living room areas and kitchenettes. It seems like there is always a refreshing breeze blowing through the village from the sea in a climate that has been described as perfect.

Guests may relax in the beautiful lounges or on the terraces. TV/video and card playing areas are available. The Aeolian Village offers indoor and outdoor dining to suit every mood in it's restaurants and bars. The Alcaeos Cocktail Bar is the heart of the hotel's evening social life and serves cocktails and drinks in the relaxing lounges.The Sappho main restaurant serves breakfast and dinner. The hotel offers a variety of activities from morning gym, aerobics, table tennis, volleyball and games on the beach, Greek cooking lessons, sirtaki dancing lessons and Greek language lessons to evening shows, fun and games. The hotel dance band, folk dancing and cabarets all add to the enjoyable nightlife that nearby Skala Eressos has to offer.

The Aeolian Hotel's beachside location offers a wide variety of resort facilities for the whole family. In addition to the beach and swimming pool, the hotel offers the Watersports School with qualified instructors in windsurfing, canoes and pedaloes. The hotel has one floodlit tennis court and a professional instructor. Mountain bikes are available for hire. Guests can also pas the time playing electronic games, billiards, table tennis, beach volleyball and many other pastimes.

In the mini club besides the pool there is care during mornings and afternoons by qualified multi-lingual personnel for children 3-12 years of age.
