Evia is one of the biggest island of ancient Greece in the Aegean Sea, situated in the near heighbourhood of Atica, the second island after Crete. Eubea stretches along the western cost of the central Greece, separated by the Eubean Bay and Euripa strait.
The northern Evia represents the mountanious territory of the island. Wooded slopes, ideal spots for skying lovers. Nice beaches and amazingly quiet shores.
The island is separated from the continental Greece by the well-known Evripos Staight, with a transport bridge thrown over, having about 40 m length. From the bridge the road leads to the Capital of the island-Halkida. Eritea — the main spot for rest and excursions.
Evia is known as being the place with the biggest towns in the island. What makes this place true adornments for its visitors are the capitan houses and the coastal villages and settlements. Another peculiarity of Eubea are the multitude of its waters, for instance the healing waters of the renownwed Honeftiko spring.
