[64]  Japanese travelar ( living in wrote: 14 Jun 2004, 21:22:50

I stayed this hotel early June in 2004 for 3 days. This hotel was really cheap, but all equipments (shower with bath, bed, and so) were brandnew (I think), the room was adequately clean. It was also in 5 or 10 minutes walks in Omonia and Monastilaki sqs. Hotelman was also kind and speak fair English. I was afaid of the area (because I've heard this area is not so good), but in daytime it is not a big problem. I can recommend this hotel to the person who wants to travel in cheap way. I think this hotel is much better than some 3 star hotels.

We booked for our second honeymoon and wished we had gone there for our first one!

Poseidon Resort

[2]  Grant wrote: 14 Nov 2003, 20:00:18

We were staying at the Poseidon in May 2003. The hotel is very good- very big, green area, with trees and flowers, very clean. We were staying in the main building; so, the restaurant, reception and sea were close. The standard accommodation is bungalow – small houses spread all over the territory, some of them are 5-7 min walk from the sea, on a hill. The food was very good, big variety, good service, the local wine is excellent! The beach is all with pebbles; there is no sand, not very comfortable without shoes. The water was quite cold in May and we were swimming in the big pool with seawater, situated right on the beach. There is a heated indoor pool as well as a children’s pool. Also there is a pool in a private area on the, hidden by trees, there you can enjoy the sun alone. Lutraki- is a small town, 2 km from the Poseidon Hotel. We went to take dinner several times in the taverns, food is very tasty, but quite expensive – 50-70 EUR for 2 pers. The lacks of the hotel- some bungalows are located too far from the beach, the windows of the garden view rooms come to the parking area and you can see everything what happens in the room. Unfortunately, all the Lutraki beaches are with pebbles only, still we had a great holiday!

[115]  Pantera wrote: 19 May 2005, 11:54:05

You are right by 100%, dear John! We were staying in bungalow - it was great! Just 2 metres to sea. Food incredibly tasty and always very fresh. It was in January the 1st - 10. Temreture was 25 - 27 C. Everything was OK
