  Paros is the third largest island of the Cyclades, after Naxos & Andros.The island is located south of Mykonos & Syros Islands. Paros island has a rich history starting from the Ancient Greek Mythology. On Paros blossomed the prehistoric famous Cycladic Art with statues made from the famous marble of Paros ,the famous statue of Liraris (the Guitar player) is one of the most characteristic statues of the Cyclades islands art.

  Paros has an excellent selection of restaurants, bars, cafe shops and discos to suit everyone's taste. While visiting Paros Island one should definetly visit the places of interest like: Lefkes (the medieval capital) and Marpissa, Naoussa, the second port of the island, with the excellent beaches, the ruins of a Venetian castle and the Byzantine Museum. Chrysi Akti, 800m golden sand beach is the best of the island. In Parikia the Byzantine Cathedral Church of Panagia Ekatondapyliani (Church of a hundred doors), the Archaeological Museum, the ruins of a Venetian castle.

  The beaches of Paros are small and overcrowded in comparison with those of nearby Naxos, but there is an abundance of sea sand and a few truly exceptional beaches like: Kolimbithres, Livadia, Langeri Beach, Malos, Chrissi Akti, Loloantonis, Faranga Beach.
